Golf Course History
We value exceptional golf experiences.
Rising from an old citrus grove, the course at Pointe West was developed in 1999. Golf course architect John Sanford had a vision for a uniquely sculpted course, and countless tons of earth were moved to create elevated tees, elevated landing areas, peaks in fairways and elevated greens. Striking bunker complexes were created to highlight subtle mounding and some unique features were incorporated to extenuate several “risk/reward” situations. Most notably the 18th fairway is traversed by a water feature just short of the green making for an exciting moonlighting finishing hole. A testament to the variety of holes created by Sanford is Pointe West’s par 5s. Both the second and the ninth holes are reachable in two solid shots; the tenth hole requires two long strategically placed strikes to get home and the mammoth 598 yard 16th is a true three shot test.
Multiple tees throughout the course ensure an enjoyable yet challenging game for golfers at all levels. We are well known for the exceptional quality of our greens and the dedication to an excellent golf experience each time you play.

Practice Facilities
Over ten acres of practice facilities enable you to work on every element of your game. At our extensive practice area, golfers enjoy realistic target greens, numerous sand traps, chipping areas, pitching areas, three practice putting greens and even a wedge tee dedicated to working on those all important scoring shots. Two separate tee areas with numerous hitting stations and unlimited practice balls ensure that you can fully enjoy your Club experience.
Golf Pro Shop
Enter the golf pro shop and you are greeted with a smile and a fabulous array of the latest golf fashions and accessories for men and women. Our highly experienced staff will custom fit Callaway, Taylor Made and Titleist clubs, place special orders and or gift certificates for every occasion. The pro shop is the hub of Club activity, where you can sign up for the many events and tournaments that our Members enjoy and check your handicap on the computer.
